Dr. Lois Albury Joins Medical Team HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Western Massachusetts welcomes Dr. Lois Albury to the Medical Team. Dr. Albury is a native of Nassau, Bahamas and moved to the United States as a teenager. She completed her undergraduate studies at New York University. New York. Dr. Albury is a graduate of Tufts Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. She was introduced to Western Massachusetts when she did her residency at Bay State Medical Center and enjoyed the fact that "life is quieter in the suburbs". Dr. Albury spent the past 10 years of her career at Holyoke Health Center beginning with a staff physician position and spending the last 5 years as Medical Director. Under her leadership, she oversaw growth and changes within the practice. Dr. Albury came into her current position at HS in February of 2005. Dr. Albury is looking forward to the challenges of moving from an Outpatient to Inpatient setting and exploring a career in the private healthcare sector. Dr. Albury is bringing with her a solid background in quality improvement and implementation of systems for attaining high standards of medical practice.
