Dr Clohan toured the building with Medical Director Dr Adnan Dahdul and had the opportunity to meet many of the Clinicians, Staff and Support Staff at the facility. Dr Clohan commented on her tour by saying "You have a fine hospital here which obviously puts quality patient care first….and you work together as a team to accomplish this goal." CEO, Dave Richer concurred in response by stating "The staff have worked together for some time and complement each other in their skill-set and trust in working together."

Dr Clohan described her role within HealthSouth as working towards quality initiatives which were focused on Quality with individual focus on: Patient Safety, Outcomes, Patient Experience and the use of Technologies/ Innovations. Dr Clohan has been in her role of Chief Medical Officer for one year and has chosen to visit individual HealthSouth hospitals in the 103- hospitals system. Dr Dahdul was able to provide a copy of our Coumadin Protocol that Donna Bowles and the Medical Team developed and use at the Ludlow facility as a great example of a collaborative innovation that could be shared.
