    Sportsmetrics

    What is the Sportsmetrics Program?
    • Strength Training
    • Plyometrics: A safe way to gain muscle strength and power
    • Stretching
    • HealthSouth incorporates agility drills in addition to the strength training, plyometrics and stretching

    Why use Sportsmetrics?
    • 2/3 of all knee injuries are non-contact
    • Insufficient muscle strength, coordination and balance place athletes at increased risk for knee injury
    • Trained athletes have been found to have a hamstring to quadriceps muscle imbalance which alters stability and places athletes at risk to injure the ACL

Why does the program target female athletes?
    • Females are 4 to 6 times more likely to sustain a knee injury
    • 1 in every 10 college women sustains a serious knee injury every year as does 1 in every 100 high school girls
    • Out of 2 million high school female athletes 20,000 to 30,000 sustains a serious knee injury each year.

Can males benefit from Cincinnati Sportsmetrics?
Yes, anyone who commits themselves to all components of the program will benefit.

    What are the benefits?
    • Decrease risk for knee injury
    • Increase vertical jump height
    • Increase broad jump distance
    • Take seconds off agility drills
    • Increase strength
    • Increase flexibility
