What is the Sportsmetrics Program?

Why use Sportsmetrics?
- 2/3 of all knee injuries are non-contact
- Insufficient muscle strength, coordination and balance place athletes at increased risk for knee injury
- Trained athletes have been found to have a hamstring to quadriceps muscle imbalance which alters stability and places athletes at risk to injure the ACL
Why does the program target female athletes?
- Females are 4 to 6 times more likely to sustain a knee injury
- 1 in every 10 college women sustains a serious knee injury every year as does 1 in every 100 high school girls
- Out of 2 million high school female athletes 20,000 to 30,000 sustains a serious knee injury each year.
