The Joint Commission today awarded HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Western Massachusetts its Pulmonary-Specific Care Certification

HealthSouth Western Massachusetts has received approval from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to build a replacement hospital on property at the Ludlow Mills complex. The new hospital will be more than 72,000 square feet and accommodate the relocation of 53 patient beds.

HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Western Massachusetts announced it will build a new 53-bed rehabilitation hospital on property at the Ludlow Mills complex. Construction plans will begin later this year with an eye towards completion in 2013.

In searching for a larger, more efficient hospital, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Western Massachusetts is building a new, 72,000 square-foot, 53-bed rehabilitation hospital on 10 acres of land inside the Ludlow Mills complex.
